In the wake of the Thomas Fire and Montecito mudslide, AHA! mobilized eight highly qualified therapists and four interns trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming) to offer up to six free trauma therapy treatment sessions for anyone directly impacted by the devastation. As long as funding allows, we will continue to make effective therapy available to trauma survivors regardless of their ability to pay. AHA! has also led grief circles for the community-at-large and offered healing circles at specific schools in response to tragedy.
